August here is brutal. We used to blast the AC all afternoon. 8-blade fan on, thermostat two degrees higher, room still feels fine. Bill dropped enough that my wife noticed.
Kids room. If the Octave hummed I would have sent it back. Night light is low enough they stay asleep. Speed 1-2 is a draft, not a wind tunnel. That was the whole test.
Bought the Octave for summer, kept reverse on all winter. Heat was pooling at the ceiling. Reverse pushes that down. House feels more even.
Fan is solid. Light is nicer than I expected. Knocking one star because the remote pairing took two tries and the paper instructions are messy. Once it synced I have not touched the wall switch.
